Homework - 10th September

Your child has been given some history homework, where they have been asked to interview a parent or grandparent about their childhood. It would be great if you could help your child to complete this for Wednesday. It's fine for you to write the answers, as long as they are reading the questions with you. Children can draw pictures and label if they would rather.

Phonics packs will be sent home next week. We have been learning sw, sp, st and sl this week. Have a go at writing some words beginning with these sounds (e.g. swing, spot, stem, slime).

Please keep up with the reading, thanks. Chapter 2 of our book is set on Purple Mash for those who would like a bit extra.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs W.

Friday 3rd September

We have had a lovely two days in Year 1. It's been wonderful to see everyone and hear about all the things children have got up to over the summer.

I have put our first homework book on Purple Mash (I am sorting out logins for new children), which is Anna and the Third Leaf. There are some questions and other activities to have a go at as well. Please also see the homework document and other useful links below.

I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday.

Have a good weekend,

Mrs White

Transition Meeting Info

It was lovely to meet you all this morning. As requested, below is some of the information shared, so you can read through in your own time. I will add the maths targets to the bottom of the page shortly.

The phonics video link is here. Please do watch it, as it's very helpful to know how the different sounds are pronounced.

As mentioned, please don't worry about the Purple Mash homework. The most important thing is to hear your child read every day and do the phonics homework.
