A St Michael's, we are very passionate about well being. After lunch break, in every class, we practice Mindfulness and each lunchtime we run a Nurture club for any child who needs some support away from the busyness of the playground. We run a well being day in the Spring Term, where different activities are set up around the school for the children to experience the different areas of well being. Mrs Sarah Holden is our Mental Health Lead and her Deputy is Mrs Louise Golding. Both mentor children with any social, emotional issues and anxiety.
Wellbeing Day 10.2.20. Children engaged in activities that reflect the 5 areas of Wellbeing.
With a successful wellbeing bid we have been able to purchase an outside sound system to use at lunchtime. The children love dancing to the music!
