A St Michael's, we are very passionate about well being. After lunch break, in every class, we practice Mindfulness and each lunchtime we run a Nurture Club for any child who needs some support away from the busyness of the playground. We run a well being day in the Spring Term, where different activities are set up around the school for the children to experience the different areas of well being. Mrs Sarah Holden is our Mental Health Lead. She mentors children with any social, emotional issues and anxiety.
Wellbeing Day 10th February 2020
See, below, some photos of the children at our most recent Wellbeing Day, engaged in activitives that reflect the 5 areas of wellbeing.
Outdoor Sound System
With a successful wellbeing bid we have been able to purchase an outside sound system to use at lunchtime. The children love dancing to the music!
