*NEW* Phonics Screening

When the children return to school on Monday 6th June they will be sitting their Phonics Screening Test. I will be administering the tests throughout that week. To help the children to prepare please look at the below materials which will give you an indication of what is expected. Please also look at the resources that are on the phonics page. We have been doing these at school, so they are not new to the children. The class will also not know they are sitting a test.

The words the children will read are all decodable, they will need to use their phonetic understanding to segment and blend the words. There will also be alien words within the test. The children will also need to segment and blend these words. They do not need to be able to read the decodable words at first sight.
