'Shine as Lights in the World'
A very proud day for St. Michael’s on the rugby field at the Six Nations Tournament. Year 5 players had been to trials and all 6 of our nominated pupils were selected for the Monk’s Walk super teams. 3 were then chosen to represent Scotland and 3 Italy today with teammates from St. Mary’s, Harwood Hill and Brookman’s Park. As in the ‘real’ Six Nations, all countries played each other to determine the best team. Obviously we were in a particularly difficult position when our children played against each other, but actually they drew so it was down to the results in other games to decide the final positions.
Many congratulations to the Scottish group who were silver medalists and to Italy who won!! (Josh was Italy’s top scorer with 22 tries!) Everyone was thrilled, exhausted and super pleased with their medals - well done to Cerys, Caitlin, Keira, Teddy, Tim and Josh!
Thank you to all of our supporters and for the guidance of the Monk’s Walk staff and Young Leaders who were referees.
