'Shine as Lights in the World'

Cherry Class

Our current topic is: Salvation.

In Cherry Class, we have embarked on an enlightening journey through the heart of Christian faith. Our focus? Salvation—a concept that resonates deeply during the sacred season of Easter. We are being theologians - exploring the stories of the bible and learning from Christ's teachings. We have considered why Easter is so important to our faith and how there is more to Easter than chocolate eggs and bunnies!

Autumn Term - Creation

In Cherry Class, our recent Religious Education Lessons have explored the Christian story of Creation and its profound connection to the principle of generosity. We've explored the first 7 days using collage art and explored the story of God forming a world of boundless beauty and abundance. This understanding has been intertwined with the concept of generosity, emphasising the Christian teachings of giving, sharing, and gratitude, especially during the harvest season. Through thoughtful discussions and engaging activities, our students have gained insights into how these foundational beliefs in Christianity guide individuals towards acts of kindness, compassion, and the acknowledgment of the Earth's bountiful gifts during the harvest, fostering a sense of community and appreciation for all that is provided.
