'Shine as Lights in the World'
Our regular class skipping breaks happen throughout the year and these also linked well with the Sports Ambassador’s lunchtime challenge (held earlier in the term, see Ambassadors page).
We skip because it provides physiological benefits to the children including increased physical activity, reduced sedentary behaviour, increased fitness and improved body composition.
Today we linked our personal well-being with charitable donations to Sport Relief (over £200 raised - thank you!) and to help them to take on some of the world’s most pressing problems through the power of sport.
Every class went outside to skip for a minute and certificates were awarded to the boy and girl in each class with the highest number of skips. Well done to everyone for participating and demonstrating your skills.
