St Michael's Woolmer GreenVA C of E School
'Shine as Lights in the World'
School of the Millennium
The school celebrated the millennium year, alongside most of the country! Below is a whole-school photograph from the year 2000.
St Michael's Preschool
The school had St Michael's Preschool set up in the current reception classroom and had been running in the school for around 30 years. However, more space was needed so the Preschool moved into it's own accommodation adjacent to the school. A lot of children attend this preschool, with great links to the school, prior to starting at the main school. The children still use the school for their nativity plays and sports days. Below is a photograph of the Preschool Christmas play in 2000.
School Falling Down!
On the 18th January 2007, the South East of England was experiencing a bout of particularly inclement weather with strong winds, and at 3.15pm the back wall of the old building (Oak classroom) began to fall down.
Building and opening of the new classrooms
The school added a large new extension, which was finished in November 2013, adding two new classrooms to the school. These are the current Year 4 and 5 classrooms, nearest to the field.
The classrooms were opened by the Bishop.
