This half term, children will explore Stranger Shores and dive into stories where characters step beyond the familiar and venture into the unknown. Along the way, they’ll encounter unusual places, unexpected companions and challenges that test their courage.
At the heart of the unit is a simple but powerful idea: even when the path ahead feels uncertain, we can face difficulties with determination and optimism. As pupils follow each character’s journey, they’ll reflect on how we overcome obstacles, stay hopeful in tough moments and keep moving toward our goals.
It’s a chance for children to explore bravery, resilience and the spirit of adventure—qualities that matter just as much in real life as they do in stories.
