Mr B Mallon - Head Teacher

Parents who are considering a place for their child at St Michael's Woolmer Green are warmly invited to visit the school. Please telephone for an appointment and for a full copy of the prospectus.

In joining St Michael's Woolmer Green your child will be part of a community which shares Christian values where everyone works together to create a happy and secure environment. It is our aim to care for particular needs of each child to ensure that every opportunity is provided for all pupils to develop and reach their full potential.

In order to achieve this we look forward to working in partnership with you as your child progresses through the school and we encourage you to visit us to discuss your child's development.

Above all this is a caring school, with caring adults, who seek to develop positive relationships with our parents and children. Together we can ensure that your child will benefit from an exciting and enriching education at St Michael's Woolmer Green and will enjoy a happy and successful time here.

Dear Parents/carers   Thank you to everyone who responded to the Parent Questionnaire.  We received 100 responses in all, which was very pleasing.   These have been collated and the results appear on this Website under “Office” – “Statutory info” tab for you to look at.    In most categories your responses were very positive and show a genuine satisfaction with the education your sons/daughters are receiving.   I would also like to thank those parents who took time to express further comment. Many of the comm...

Well done for all the work you have completed over the last few months to prepare for the SATS. You are all well prepared and have nothing to worry about!   Next week you will be sitting your SATS papers during  the mornings of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. During the late morning, and the afternoon, we will be working on our art project based on the works of a famous artist.  Please make sure next week you allow time in the morning to have something to eat and drink before you come to school as you will be a...

On Friday the school bade Farewell to Mrs Renouf, at least for the timebeing, as she goes home to 'rest' for a couple of weeks before the birth of her first child. We would all like to send Charlotte and Dan our most sincere best wishes for a smooth delivery. There is a lot of excitement and deliberation in the school as to whether they will have a boy or a girl and we look forward with eager anticipation to hearing their good news in due course. To say our 'good-byes' the whole school gathered in the hall and each class presented Mrs Renouf w...

Last week Elm Class had a wonderful time when Mrs Hewitt came into school to teach them all about Passover, which is a celebration that commemorates Jewish liberation by God from slavery in Egypt. Mrs Hewitt brought in unleavened bread for the children to try as this is what is traditionally eaten during Passover.

It's all happening this term; a welcome return, a sad departure, a happy departure (and hopefully eventual return!), and two fabulous new recruits! We are so pleased to see Mr Mallon back from sick leave and our thanks go to Mrs Rawson who deputised in his absence. Mrs Rawson will sadly be leaving us at the end of this term to take up a new post at a school nearer her home. We are currently in the process of recruiting and will inform you of her replacement as soon as possible. We would like to express our thanks for all her hard...

Thank you to those Parents who have returned their Questionnaires. We value your comments and Mr Mallon will share the results in due course. This month our Committees will be approving year-end figures. We will be looking at our draft Budget for 2016-17 for approval at our FGB meeting in May. In addition we have been looking at children’s progress and attainment and how pupil premium and sports premium monies are spent. Our Governors continue to visit school to challenge and support school improvement. Our recent JARV ...
