Mr B Mallon - Head Teacher

Parents who are considering a place for their child at St Michael's Woolmer Green are warmly invited to visit the school. Please telephone for an appointment and for a full copy of the prospectus.

In joining St Michael's Woolmer Green your child will be part of a community which shares Christian values where everyone works together to create a happy and secure environment. It is our aim to care for particular needs of each child to ensure that every opportunity is provided for all pupils to develop and reach their full potential.

In order to achieve this we look forward to working in partnership with you as your child progresses through the school and we encourage you to visit us to discuss your child's development.

Above all this is a caring school, with caring adults, who seek to develop positive relationships with our parents and children. Together we can ensure that your child will benefit from an exciting and enriching education at St Michael's Woolmer Green and will enjoy a happy and successful time here.

You will be sorry to learn the sad news that our headteacher Mr Mallon died on 18th April. We felt that it was right to tell the children rather than they hear the news through rumours. We know this can be a difficult subject to discuss with children and if we can be of any help, do please contact us. Support for all the school community is being provided by the Diocesan Board of Education, local clergy and by Hertfordshire C...

On Thursday this week St Michael's School Choir gave a mini 'taster' to the rest of the school of a cantata that they have been working on. They performed two parts of a cantata called Captain Noah and His Floating Zoo by Joseph Horovitz. The children were enthusiastic and full of vigour and we look forward to hearing more of the cantata in due course. Thank you to Mrs Hewitt and Mrs Wadey for they work in rehearsing and accompanying the choir each week. ...

Our school mosaic is coming on really well already! The children are hands on, and - under the guidance of David Bowers from Mosaic Madness - they are creating a wonderful lasting floor sculpture for our playground. Here you can see some Year 4 children putting together one of the 'Peace' sections. Thanks, again, to the Friends for this fabulous venture. ...
