Mr B Mallon - Head Teacher
Parents who are considering a place for their child at St Michael's Woolmer Green are warmly invited to visit the school. Please telephone for an appointment and for a full copy of the prospectus.
In joining St Michael's Woolmer Green your child will be part of a community which shares Christian values where everyone works together to create a happy and secure environment. It is our aim to care for particular needs of each child to ensure that every opportunity is provided for all pupils to develop and reach their full potential.
In order to achieve this we look forward to working in partnership with you as your child progresses through the school and we encourage you to visit us to discuss your child's development.
Above all this is a caring school, with caring adults, who seek to develop positive relationships with our parents and children. Together we can ensure that your child will benefit from an exciting and enriching education at St Michael's Woolmer Green and will enjoy a happy and successful time here.
To our lovely Year 6. The time has come for you to leave us and move on to your new school. What an adventure you will have! You have all worked so very hard this year and we are very proud of you all. We wish you continued success in all you do and hope that a little bit of St Michael's always remains with you. Work hard, enjoy your new challenges and, most of all, have fun! With all our best wishes, from Mrs Leake and Mrs Harry.
In addition to all of our wonderfully talented musicians, the St Michael's School Choir will also be performing 3 of their favourite songs at the special assembly on Monday 18th July. The musical celebration will begin at 9.15am in the main hall. We look forward to welcoming many of you to join us.
On July 8th Elm Class went to Monks Walk School to learn about Olympic sports as part of their 'Road to Rio' project. The children were given instruction on javelin throwing and also had fun playing football and cricket, and competing in a tug of war.
Elm Class had a wonderful trip to Cuffley Outdoor Centre last week and enjoyed various exciting team-building activities including high ropes and an assault course. A great time was had by all!
Sycamore are having a wonderful time this Arts Week, and have jointly produced this amazing collage of the painting Garrowby Hill by David Hockney. The whole school are basing their work on this piece of art this week. We are all very proud of the children in Sycamore Class.
St Michael's Choir will be performing some fun new songs at the beginning of the Campfest next Saturday (25th). Please make sure you arrive promptly at 2pm, if you can, so that you don't miss them! The children have worked really hard this term and would love to show off their achievements to you. Mrs Hewitt.
This year at the Summer Campfest there will be a tea room. All donations of cakes and biscuits would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much. Ready, Steady.......BAKE!
